Unknown Mortal Orchestra Share New Rework, Announce Expansive Tour
UMO also have a huge tour on the way.
Unknown Mortal Orchestra set their sights on SILICON‘s “Cellphone” for their latest remix. For those not in the know, SILICON is the brainchild and main project of Kody Neilson, brother of UMO’s Ruban Neilson. In the past, Kody Neilson has also contributed to Unknown Mortal Orchestra albums as a studio musician. His brother Ruban is also the UMO member primarily responsible for today’s drop. UMO have coupled the release of their new rework with a tour announcement. Starting next month, UMO will hit the road and embark on a four-month trek. What begins at a festival in Paris will later be joined by Lower Dens and conclude in New York City. You can listen to the UMO rework of “Cellphone” above, and check out their tour-dates (courtesy of Pitchfork) below. Earlier in the year, Unknown Mortal Orchestra released their third studio album, Multi-Love.
