Tunji Ige - Ball Is Life
In support of the ‘The Love Project.’

At the end of last year, Tunji Ige released a stellar project entitled The Love Project. The full-length featured 13 offerings from Tunji, with project opener “For Us” receiving its own video. With the project’s one-year anniversary in the horizon, Tunji Ige is revisiting the effort via another new video in support of one of its songs. The clip for “Ball Is Life” serves as Tunji Ige’s first visual piece since the “For Us” clip hit early this year, and was “shot, directed and edited” completely by Glassface. Speaking on today’s video, Tunji Ige penned the following in a statement to Complex:
“‘Ball Is Life’ is based around the mentality of a young black kid and the idea that ‘balling’ or entertainment are the main outlets that are preached as ways to escape…The girl tries to escape her circumstances through vanity/drugs. The video, directed by the God Glassface, is about escaping in different ways, and it closes out the Love Project.”
As always, Tunji Ige put special care and effort into crafting his videos. You can watch the visual for “Ball Is Life” above.
