Watch Travis Scott & Smokepurpp Light up the Stage at Rise Festival 2017
Cactus Jack boys.
The newest Cactus Jack Records artist, Smokepurpp surprised fans by turning up on Travis Scott’s stage at the 2017 Rise Festival. The Florida native, who came on to perform “Fingers Blue” — his latest collaboration with Scott — said ever since he signed with his agent (Todd Moscowitz) he wanted to “end up on Cactus Jack.”
Scott, who founded the record label earlier this year, said that his aim was to create an organization that would “first and foremost to help other artists, launch new names, to provide opportunities.” The Houston rapper explained that by “help” he meant “no more bullshit… no lying to the artists about album release dates or the budgets of videos and albums.”
Travis, whose recent hit Butterfly Effect was just certified Platinum, is currently preparing for the release of his new album — Astrowold. He announced to the crowd at Rise Festival that “I’m about to go away, in hiding for a like a couple weeks, couple months.” Hopefully, when he returns he will be armed with some new bangers.
