Thom Yorke Supports Greenpeace With New Song, “Hands Off the Antarctic”
The artist’s push to protect the Antarctic Ocean.
Taking a break from preparing his double-LP score for Suspiria, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke released a new track in coordination with Greenpeace.
Titled “Hands Off the Antarctic,” the evocative track serves to push the environmental organization’s mission to protect the Antarctic Ocean from climate change and growing human interference. The new track continues the stream of ominous instrumentals we have recently received from Yorke as of late. Dominated by a droning drum beat and a graceful buildup, the song comes accompanied by a special video with stunning footage from Greenpeace’s ship Arctic Sunrise.
