Earlier this summer, Vans alongside Germain retailer Coutié linked up on the collaborative “Yin Yang” pack, unveiling an alternate look at the classic Sk8-Hi model. With the fall/winter season now upon us, the pair align once again, this time bringing to the table its “One World #2” collection. As its name so poignantly alludes to, the theme is a peaceful call to action, reminding one and all to embrace diversity and each other in this solitary world we all share.
Comprised of the Old Skool and Sk8-Hi, both models spotlight a clean black upper, with Coutié’s name appearing on the vamp, while “One World” text lands on the side area. Additional splashes of white found on the side stripe, midsole and exposed stitching, in addition to the decorative black/yellow laces add subtle contrast, helping to break up the somber black palette. The joint Coutié x Vans “One World #2” collection is available now via Coutié’s online shop.
Elsewhere in footwear, Sean Wotherspoon created a wild, multicolored bespoke Air Max 1.
