Sango Shares New Video Single, "Sweet Holy Honey" Featuring Xavier Omär
In conjunction with the official tracklisting and release date for his upcoming album.
Seattle-based sound purveyor Sango is back to officially announce the release date and tracklisting for his forthcoming album, In The Comfort Of. The project is slated to release on March 16 via Last Gang and will feature notable appearances from JMSN, Smino and Jesse Boykins III among others. In addition to the announcement, Sango has also shared a video single with Xavier Omär titled, “Sweet Holy Honey.” The Jon Salmon-directed clip is an mini-film of sorts that finds the two artists encapsulated in the wilderness before two angels suddenly appear and come to the rescue.
“The inspiration for the video actually comes from the underlying meaning of the song. I want the viewer/listener to piece it together on their own so, I won’t give too much away. ‘Sweet Holy Honey’ stems from cherishing the existence of women and the gift they bring to the world. When I approached Xavier Omär with this idea, I wanted him to write about how it may feel when you hold back the urge to have sex with a woman that you’re in love with. It’s not a typical love song.”
