Justin Timberlake and Pharrell Go Behind the Scenes of 'Man of the Woods'
“I would describe it as modern Americana with 808s.”
Justin Timberlake has announced the tracklist and accompanying tour for his forthcoming album, dubbed Man of the Woods, and now offers fans a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process behind it.
Featuring black and white in-studio footage of Justin Timberlake, producers Pharrell and Timbaland alongside other contributors, the nearly four-minute clip also features some full-color footage, possibly from an upcoming music video. At one point, Timberlake can be seen in the booth laying down some auto-tuned vocals, and elsewhere lays down a rhythm guitar part while wearing a CDG Play T-shirt. Occasionally, the video cuts to a documentary-style viewpoint in which Timberlake shares his thoughts on the album, stating, “I think the album has a wide range of sonics to it, but I guess I would describe it as modern Americana with 808s.”
