Galaxy S9's New Chip Is Practically an iPhone X Doppleganger
The Exynos 9810 processor promises higher tech specs for Samsung.
Samsung and Apple, when it comes to its perspective mobile devices, have been in a perpetual war. Even so much that litigation was mounted against the Galaxy for allegedly transgressing against “design patents”. Now the two giants come closer together as the new specifications for the Exynos 9810 processor has been released, and it’s shaping up that the Galaxy S9 could be a doppelganger to the iPhone X.
The main feature sought after from the Cook helmed company is its sophisticated 3D face sensing biometrics. With an emphasis on security, the processor through hardware software will be able,
“to accurately recognize people or items in photos for fast image searching or categorization, or through depth sensing, scan a user’s face in 3D for hybrid face detection.”
The potential of its own brand of facial technology could possibly create a plethora of dynamic features, including a future Animoji-esque tool. Though with details of top speeds of 2.9Ghz, “ultra-fast LTE”, higher display and color performance, increased battery efficiency and advanced imaging processing –including stabilization, bokeh, and better low light capabilities–, the newest iteration seems to dwarf past Galaxy models.
Still, not everything is known for the phone and chip, but expect Samsung to give more insight at CES 2018. To get more of your tech fix, read how Bill Gates has been named guest editor of Time Magazine.
