The Canelo vs. Golovkin Rematch Gets a Date
2017’s biggest fight will soon be 2018’s.

A rematch to the most anticipated boxing bout in recent memory finally has a date: Canelo Álvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin, the sequel, will air live on HBO this May 5.
The pair’s electric first fight back in September of 2017 ended in a controversial draw at a packed T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two middleweights, both revered as top athletes in the sport, immediately called for a rematch, and after months of deliberating, we now have official word on when it’ll happen. The venue and ticket information have yet to be announced however.
Stay tuned for more details as they become available. In the meantime, vote for who you think will win in the poll below.
