'Yakuza 6: The Song of Life' Finally Gets a Worldwide Release Date
Almost two years after the Japanese release date.
Despite already being out and playable in Japan since December of 2016, SEGA has announced that Yakuza 6: The Song of Light will finally be coming to the rest of the world. Set to release as a PlayStation 4 exclusive on March 20, 2018, Yakuza 6: The Song of Light serves as the highly-anticipated follow-up to 2012’s Yakuza 5. This, of course, excludes the HD remake of the first Yakuza game that came out earlier this year, as well as 2015’s Yakuza 0 and 2014’s Ryū ga Gotoku Ishin!, a spin-off title that was exclusive to Japan.
In addition to announcing the release date of Yakuza 6: The Song of Light, Sega released a gameplay trailer that highlighted some core mechanics, including a preview of the game’s combat engine and a few other aspects, including taking selfies, underwater fishing, and playing with babies.
