As part of this year’s MAISON&OBJECT exhibit in Paris, Italian design firm SELETTI and Amsterdam-based Studio Job have teamed up to create a line of food-inspired furniture. The collection sees couches, chairs, and cushions take the form of hot dogs and hamburgers, using a handful of different materials to recreate the foods. The playful set is part of SELETTI’s transition into creating upholstered furniture, something creative director Stefano Seletti told Design Boom is a big step forward.

Doing upholstered products for SELETTI is a huge achievement, but obviously, I had to approach the matter my way. My way is never a normal one…we will surely explore other typologies in the future, I think we are ready to do that but we will take all the time we need, because we will need to find the right innovative approach. We decided to go big presenting this new adventure with the upholstered furniture.

With no word on when the SELETTI and Studio Job’s food-inspired furniture collection will be available, keep tabs on SELETTI’s website for more information and view some of the studio’s other works.
