NOUNION's 2017 Fall/Winter Collection Is Inspired by New York's 1970s Gangs
Touching upon the ‘80 Blocks from Tiffany’s’ documentary.
NOUNION has released a lookbook for its 2017 capsule collection. The range takes inspiration from Gary Weis’ 1979 documentary, 80 Blocks from Tiffany’s. The motion picture centers upon two of New York’s most notorious gangs, The Savage Skulls and The Savage Nomads. The London-based label has culled several design cues from individual gang members from the movie. Striking pieces span frayed denim jackets with matching jeans, torn bomber jackets, sweatshirts ripped at the waistline and half-and-half tees.
