"Despacito" Surges on to Become the First YouTube Video to Reach 3 Billion Views
Records are made to be broken.

The last time we discussed Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito” video it broke Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” record for the most views on YouTube. This time around the Daddy Yankee-assisted video is back to break another milestone. As of recently, Fonsi’s popular visual has become the first video to hit 3 billion views on YouTube.
Surprisingly to some, the song has reached this astounding number without starring Justin Bieber, who has arguably given the track its popular push thanks to his contribution to its remix. Nonetheless, a congratulations is in order to Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee as “Despacito” has also become the first Spanish-speaking song to top the charts for twelve consecutive weeks since “Maracrena” back in 1996.
Take a look at Fonsi’s sign of appreciation below and let us know your thoughts.
