For its 2017 fall/winter collection, London-based YMC (or You Must Create) has drawn inspiration from a number of different places. The main influence is the focus on form and function of the Bauhaus architectural movement, which has been mixed with YMC founder Fraser Moss‘ interest in a DIY ethos and surreal cut and paste art.
Some of the fall/winter drop’s key pieces see the brand reinterpret classic British designs, with a heavy weight sheepskin budgie jacket, a speckled wool suit and a woollen factory coat all featuring in the collection. Not content to stop there, another feature of the collection — which made its debut at London Fashion Week: Men’s back in January — sees the release of the fall/winter collaboration between YMC and Eastpak.
The first pieces from the collection are available now from the YMC web store, with the rest of the collection dropping over the next few weeks.
