The Hundreds Cleverly Work Jackson Pollock's Famed Floor Paint Design Into New Capsule Collection
Paying tribute to the legendary artist.
Bobby Hundreds has been overly forthright regarding his admiration for the late, great Jackson Pollock. Inspiring The Hundreds co-founder to selfishly create for himself before all else helped guide Bobby to construct the commemorative Jackson Pollock x The Hundreds collection. Working the revered artist’s world famous floor paint splatter design onto a flurry of items, the expressive abstract rendering made its way onto such items including, T-shirts, shorts, hoodie, canvas jacket and a Modernica fiberglass shell chair. Rounding out the lineup is a skateboard deck, ash tray, and a puzzle.
The Jackson Pollock x The Hundreds capsule collection will make its way to the brand’s flagship stores, online shop and select stockists as of July 7.
When asked to comment on Pollock as an artist, Bobby had this to say:
“You’d think that after centuries of artistic exploration, there’d be nothing new under the sun in terms of technique. But, pushed to the edge — both in medium and personal life – Jackson Pollock stumbled onto a new frontier. He recast painting for another generation of artists to dismantle, debate, and develop.”
