The music video is now made available for everyone.
Since its release last week, JAY-Z‘s new album 4:44 and its music videos have been made exclusive only for TIDAL users. However this afternoon, the music video for “The Story of O.J.” was put up onto JAY’s YouTube account, making it the first part of the project to be made available for everyone. “‘The Story of OJ’ is really a song about we as a culture, having a plan, how we’re gonna push this forward,” Jigga revealed to iHeartRadio in an interview about his latest album. “We all make money, and then we all lose money, as artists especially. But how, when you have some type of success, to transform that into something bigger.”
The four-minute music video, which takes on racist cartoons from Fleischer Studios, Warner Bros., Disney and others, focuses on the black experience in the U.S. 4:44 has already gone platinum in less than one week out. Watch the video music video above and stream 4:44 below.
