DOMICILE TOKYO Opens Up With an Intriguing Lineup Featuring AWGE, Infinite Archives, KNOW WAVE & More
The newest addition to Harajuku’s streetwear landscape.
Tokyo is laden with concept stores and retailers that stock just about every brand you could wish for, with the epicenter of the scene being the district of Harajuku. The latest high-profile addition to the area is DOMICILE TOKYO. Opening its doors just last Friday down the street from retaW, the converted dormitory received an interior makeover courtesy of YOSHIROTTEN that pays homage to traditional Japanese design with a contemporary twist. A steel Shishi-odoshi rocking fountain can be found in front garden, while a floating Bonsai tree and transparent red Fusuma sliding doors serve as additional tributes to the country’s heritage. Overshadowing these fixtures however was the store’s brand list. Customers can browse pieces from the A$AP Rocky-led design collective AWGE, Easy Tobar’s burgeoning label Infinite Archives, Iggy NYC, frog Skateboards, KNOW WAVE, PLEASURES and POWERS, alongside the store’s in-house line which is not to be overlooked either.
