BMW Releases the Best Look Yet at Its Upcoming i8 Roadster
Slated to release next year.
BMW has released a video showing the upcoming i8 Roadster, which is expected to be available at some point in 2018. The car will be an electric convertible and is the third car in the “i” line. Despite being the best look we’ve had of the new Roadster, the video doesn’t give too much away — the teaser shows the car in a camouflage veil, but it does reveal the scissor-style doors that swing upwards indicating that the car may have some design similarities to the regular i8. The video also hints that the car’s body will be made out of plastic, reinforced with carbon-fibre.
As well as teasing the i8 Roadster, BMW has also recently unveiled the “Black Fire” editions of the X5 M and X6 M.
