A Redditor Made His Own Mini SNES out of an Old Cartridge
The device is also able to play games from NES, GBA, and Genesis consoles with no issues.
For those thinking of copping a Raspberry Pi Zero kit and loading them up with ROMs instead of purchasing the highly coveted SNES Classic Nintendo that was announced, you could always use the game cartridge as its case. Yesterday, a Redditor shared a “Frankenstein SNES creation“ of an emulator installed inside of an old SNES cartridge.
The cartridge/home system hybrid is complete with classics like Super Metroid and Super Mario World. To reassure gamers that he didn’t gut a copy of a Super Metroid cartridge to create this machine, the Redditor says he just printed out a Super Metroid label and slapped it on a copy of some SNES hockey game.
