Le Coq Sportif's New Activewear Line Perfectly Embodies the Hiplet Dance Movement
Fronted by Homer Hans Bryant and crew members Nia Parker and Nia Lyons.
For those not yet in the know, Chicago dance legend Homer Hans Bryant is the party responsible for conceptualizing and later creating Hiplet — a rhythmic movement converging the spirit of hip hop with the sheer elegance of classical ballet. Bryant, along with his Hiplet crew have taken the world by storm — constructing melodic numbers to such tunes as Jason Derulo’s “If It Ain’t Love” and Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You.” To say Bryant’s creation has stuck a chord with dance aficionados and the curious alike, would be an understatement to say the least — creating several viral videos throughout much of 2016.
Helping to capture the true essence of the art form is Le Coq Sportif with the unveiling of its new women’s activewear collection. Fronted by crew members Nia Parker and Nia Lyons, the lineup does well to support Hiplet’s intricate motions, while embodying the underlying spirit of the dance. Graphic T-shirts, EZ-bratops, printed leggings and a sneaker silhouette dubbed “FLOW” comprise the range, which seamlessly tows the line between style and substance.
