The first international trailer for the highly anticipated The Merciless is finally here and it was well worth the wait. Written and directed by Byun Sung-Hyun, the Korean crime thriller drops into the world of prisoner Jae-Ho, played by Sol Kyung-Gu, as he works his way up the power ladder both inside prison and with his criminal gang outside. The trailer showcases car chases, gun fights and fist-fighting sequences with the characters using everything from their hands to even their watches as weapons. The Merciless is set to debut during the midnight screenings at the Cannes Film Festival in France, with the official release date set for May 18 according to asianwiki.com.
