Samsung Debuts OLED Screen Design That Rolls, Bends and Stretches
Just announced at the SID tech conference in Los Angeles.
Late last year, Samsung declared its intent to create a bendable screen system for its upcoming “Galaxy X” project. The tech giant recently added on to this breakthrough development when it debuted a flexible screen that can roll, bend and stretch before returning to its original state. Recently announced at the SID tech conference in Los Angeles, the 9.1-inch OLED screen is believed to use Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Silicon technology, which helps deform pixels for its flexible movements. Although a prototype for now, the invention is slated to be used in smartphones, cars and robotics.
