PUMA is aiming to change the lacing game with the introduction of its new NETFIT technology. Designed to accommodate the myriad ways in which each athlete requires their shoe to fit, NETFIT is comprised of a high-grade engineered net that wraps around a base upper of form-fitting material. The user can then thread the shoelaces through any one of the holes in the net, making for an endless variety of combinations that can be uniquely tailored to their needs.

NETFIT will be applied to a range of sneakers across PUMA’s footwear range in five lacing options — Standard, Stability, Wide and Narrow Foot, and Heel Support. The Speed IGNITE NETFIT (which Usain Bolt will wear to the World Championships in London) is now available online for $140 USD, whereas the 365 evoKNIT NETFIT will release on May 10. Additionally, the IGNITE Limitless NETFIT, Tsugi NETFIT, and evoSPEED Indoor NETFIT are set to hit retailers in the coming months. Stay tuned for more information.
