For its annual celebration, celebrities, designers and fashion industry insiders descended upon The Met for the Met Gala. This year’s theme centered around Rei Kawakubo and her influential COMME des GARÇONS brand and attendees were encouraged to wear styles inspired by the theme. Rihanna wore a gown straight from the designer herself, featuring an elaborate melange of appliques in a floral arrangement. Solange wore a dress inspired by a sleeping bag, designed by Thom Browne. Frank Ocean arrived at the Met Gala and tried to avoid paparazzi by quickly passing through the red carpet, wearing a simple white shirt and black pants. Lil Yachty swapped his Nautica for a top hat and cane in an all-white ensemble, while Jaden Smith stole the show by accessorizing his outfit with his own dreadlocks.
