Crime x Punishment, otherwise known CXP, is a new Russian streetwear label that meets at the intersection of fashion, music, literature and art. Inspired by Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel “Crime and Punishment,” founders Michael Sidorov and Leonid Vilner set out to create a label that featured prominent symbols of Russian culture on contemporary silhouettes. The garments are partly produced by Russian prisoners of the Federal State Institution Correctional Facility #2 (Leningradskaya oblast) and the Federal State Institution Correctional Facility #8 (Izhevsk). The brand’s first collection is titled «Цел и Невредим», which translates to “Safe and Sound,” and refers to the creative duo’s music collective “Safe’n'sound” that launched in St. Petersburg in 2009.

The range sees a selection of sweatshirts, hoodies, vests, long- and short-sleeve T-shirts all boasting embroidered motifs, Russian cultural symbols and quotations from Dostoevsky. Flip through the collection lookbook above and shop the pieces at Crime x Punishment’s website.
