Maison Margiela Destroys Its Future High-Top
The Paris-based atelier has outdone itself, this time.

This season, Maison Margiela is making bold statement by destroying one of the high fashion realm’s go-to sneakers: the beloved Future high-top. Long a favorite of, among many others, Kanye West (‘Ye could be seen rocking the kicks throughout the Yeezus tour, for example, as a part of his on-stage attire), this Spring/Summer 2017 drop is perhaps the most out-there take on the strapped high-top yet as the renowned Paris-based atelier seemingly took a box cutter to an all-white version of the silhouette. The results see exposed padding throughout as a shredded and stapled leather upper is coupled with Margiela’s tried-and-true vintage military sneaker-inspired sole unit.
Free of their signature strap, the destroyed rendition of the Future is available online now for $1,425 USD while supplies last.
