Omega Celebrates the 60th Anniversary of Its 1957 Releases
Featuring special reproductions of the Speedmaster, Seamaster, and Railmaster.
2017 marks the 60-year anniversary of some of Omega‘s most iconic timepieces. The Speedmaster, Seamaster, and Railmaster all made their debuts in 1957 and, to celebrate their six-decade milestone, Omega has reproduced the original designs. Each of the gorgeous throwbacks appears in 38mm form while employing a number of subtle modern modifications. For example, each sees its original radium lume replaced with SuperLuminova to replicate the classic hue of the OG while the Speedmaster — which will undoubtedly be the most coveted timepiece of the trio — features a modern chronograph caliber 1861 movement. All three even come with vintage-style packaging alongside additional leather and NATO straps to go with their steel bracelets.
You’ll have to act fast if you want one of the celebratory timepieces, however: each is limited to just 3,557 production models. And if you can’t decide between the Speedmaster, Seamaster, and Railmaster, you can pick up a limited edition package — just 557 will be produced — that includes all three watches along with special engravings, a watch roll, extra straps, and a strap changing tool.
And the price of those 557 packages? A cool $20,000 USD.
