To continue its efforts in diversity and inclusion, Nike has added the “Pro Hijab” to its product selection that caters to female Muslim athletes. Crafted with a mesh-like material, the lightweight polyester piece is made for breathability and optimal function. A statement from the global Nike spokeswoman, Megan Saalfeld, to Al Arabiya expanded upon the move further by saying, “the Nike Pro Hijab was designed as a direct result of our athletes telling us they needed this product to perform better, and we hope that it will help athletes around the world do just that.” The Nike Pro Hijab is set to release at stores for Spring 2018.
