For its latest instalment of Like Art, YouTube channel Creators met up with rapper and internet star Yung Jake in Los Angeles to learn more about his relationship with the internet. Mostly known for his emoji portraits, Jake notes as an artist he was “born on the internet.” With artwork heavily influenced by online fame, memes, and consumer culture it’s hard to deny Jake’s claim. In the episode of Like Art Jake goes shopping for a dress, introduces his creative persona Beer Jimmy and takes part in an emoji competition.
