Joey Bada$$ Believes He's Better Than Tupac
Rappers are supposed to be confident, right?
It’s sort of an “unspoken” and “unofficial” rule that rappers are supposed to be more confident than your average musician. However, new age artists like Kodak Black and Lil Yachty might have taken it a little too far in recent months — Lil B even thinks Lil Wayne is better than Biggie. Now, a popular contemporary emcee who is decidedly more lyrical than the aforementioned individuals stands to generate some similar controversy.
Sitting down for a new Genius feature regarding Black History Month, the Pro Era rapper shares some interesting thoughts regarding Tupac Shakur. Specifically, he directly boasts about being a stronger lyricist than the “Hail Mary” legend. “I’m a better rapper than Tupac is — that’s just facts,” Joey tells Genius. “One on one battle, I’ll flame ‘Pac!” Considering the speed of social media, keep an eye on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook in the coming days to see the firestorm that is sure to erupt.
