G-SHOCK's New Luxury MR-G Salutes Japanese Military Commanders
Akazonae red to symbolize rank and valor.

Casio G-SHOCK has unveiled a new member to its luxury MR-G line: the MRGG1000B-1A4. Paying homage to the watch label’s Japanese heritage, this special timepiece features the Akazonae red color found on elite samurai armor, symbolizing the rank and valor amongst traditional Japanese military commanders.
The robust model incorporates an industrial strength black titanium bezel and band, red lettering, gold IP accents, as well as a carbon coating and sapphire glass crystal for superb scratch resistance and durability. As always, each piece is equipped with standard G-SHOCK technology such as water and shock resistance, a latitude indicator, dual dial world time, LED super illuminator lights and a daily alarm, amongst many others details that promise “a watch that never breaks.”
To top off the luxury timepiece, GPS capabilities and G-SHOCK’s Multi-Band 6 ensure accurate timekeeping anywhere in the world, thanks to satellite and terrestrial radio signals from up to six transmitters worldwide. Finally, solar technology guarantees stable operation when functioning on low-battery.
The MRGG1000B-1A4 will launch at the beginning of April for a retail price of $3,000 USD at select stockists and the G-SHOCK store in Soho, NYC.
