WACKO MARIA Introduces Its 2017 Spring/Summer Collection
Featuring an unexpected source of inspiration.
WACKO MARIA debuts its upcoming collection via a new lookbook for the Spring/Summer 2017 season. While keeping in line with its signature vintage flair the Tokyo label introduces an unexpected, yet fitting source of inspiration for the warmer months – reggae music. Throwback graphics paying homage to the genre and its Jamaican origins can be found readily across T-shirts, Hawaiian shirts, hoodies, coach jackets and shorts, with various Upsetter Records and Black Art Records releases making notable appearances. An intriguing mashup of kung fu graphics featuring famed producer Lee “Scratch” Perry caught our eye as well. Elsewhere the label’s go-to work shirts, military coats, and rugged denim attires are mixed in with more formal button-up shirts and blazers to complete the comprehensive range.
