Sneaker Politics has done more for the sneaker game in the Pelican State than anyone else over the past decade and with a new store set to open in New Orleans and Mardi Gras right around the corner, the Louisiana-based outfit has teamed up with adidas Consortium for a festive take on the classic Gazelle. Specifically inspired by the celebration’s traditional King Cake (a nod to the King of Carnival and one topped in purple, green, and gold as an homage to justice, faith, and power, respectively), the kicks come in cream-colored Primeknit with purple, green, and gold accents incorporated throughout while a gum sole is meant to evoke the dough of the brioche itself. Other details include the likes of matching creamy suede overlays, leather lining, a fleece-backed tongue, co-branded leather insoles, and three sets of laces.
The Sneaker Politics x adidas Consortium Gazelle PK is set to drop on February 18 both in-store and online.
