Watch the Hand-Stitched Craftsmanship Behind RONE Shoes
A meticulous Goodyear welt process in action.
Tony Ferguson’s luxury footwear label RONE is known for giving classic sneaker silhouettes a premium leather upgrade. Paying particular attention to the materials used, RONE’s high-quality shoes feature uppers made of vegetable-tanned leathers and soles constructed of natural cork and rubber using only water-based glues. Each pair is then hand-stitched and assembled through a process that takes five hours before it is left on a last for up to 10 days to ensure a perfect fit. In this brief video, we get a glimpse of RONE’s hand stitched Goodyear welt process, as well as a good look at the finer details that set RONE’s shoes apart from the others.
