Netflix's 'Five Came Back' Recalls Authentic World War II Stories via a Contemporary Eye
“Nothing could prepare anyone for the intensity of the conflict.”
In one of Netflix’s latest original pieces, we travel back to the days of World War II for an extreme look at its impact on society, politics, filmmaking and much more. During this time, five highly notable directors made the difficult decision to leave their respective families in order to tell their own stories during the war. The upcoming Netflix original is dubbed Five Came Back and is expressed by modern directors such as Francis Ford Coppola, Paul Greengrass, Lawrence Kasdan, Guillermo del Toro and Steven Spielberg.
Set to stream on Netflix on March 31, Five Came Back will recall the vision of legendary directors John Ford, John Huston, George Stevens, Williams Wyler and Frank Capra, with a twist.
