Balenciaga's New Bag Is Inspired by Moroccan Footstools
Demna Gvasalia’s latest bazaar-themed accesory.

Last year, Demna Gvasalia debuted the colorful Cabas shopper during his inaugural fall/winter show with Balenciaga. For Spring/Summer 2017, the Georgian fashion designer follows up on his bold and boxy design inspired by bazaar shopping bags with an equally eye-catching, but round, holdall bag inspired by Moroccan footstools. Coming in a selection of sizes and colors, these rotund leather bags feature contrast stitching and signature Balenciaga branding. The small size comes with a shoulder strap and retails for ¥256,000 JPY (approximately $2,260 USD) and the large size retails for ¥214,000 JPY (approximately $1,890 USD). Expect to see the new Balenciaga bags hitting boutiques worldwide soon.
