Tupac Shakur Faces Adversity in New 'All Eyez On Me' Trailer
“They are going to give you the tools that you need to destroy yourself.”
“If they kill me, I want them to know the real story,” are the words uttered at the conclusion of the newly-released trailer for the highly anticipated Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez On Me. Considering the trials and tribulations alluded to and introduced during the new “The Greatest” teaser, the editors behind our latest look at the Benny Boom-directed flick could not have selected a better quote. In this week’s dramatic promo for All Eyez On Me, the Death Row rapper faces police brutality, struggles with the trappings and temptations of fame and power, has an emotional exchange with his mother while enduring a prison sentence and meets with the other legendary rapper that would go on to be his primary “rival,” The Notorious B.I.G.
Released several months after the lead trailer for All Eyez On Me surfaced and only four months before the film’s official debut, the new vignette for the long-awaited Tupac movie should make fans’ collective anticipation that much more intense.
Benny Boom’s Tupac biopic All Eyez On Me is set to arrive in theaters on June 16.
