adidas May Be Dropping Its Own Remix of the YEEZY Desert Rat 500 & Wave Runner 700
Coming in two familiar colorways.
Not long after catching sight of a Powerphase-inspired model, it looks like adidas is dropping another YEEZY sneaker lookalike that, this time, riffs on both the Desert Rat 500 and Wave Runner 700 silhouettes.
Previewed via Yeezy Mafia, this chunky dad shoe features a mesh and textile upper with nubuck overlays that bring to mind the Wave Runner 700 design. However an adidas rep informed us that this model references years of archived runners and not the YEEZY line directly.
Nevertheless, the tongue tab and slightly arched outsole create a more Desert Rat 500-inspired silhouette, while the sculpted sole unit seems to fuse motifs from both YEEZY models. The model is reportedly coming in two familiar looking colorways of a clean all-white version and a navy/red/cream iteration.
While there’s no confirmation yet, it’s rumored that this adidas sneaker will be dropping sometime in June 2018 at a retail price of $130 USD.
