'The Chi' Trailer Highlights the Humanity in Chicago Citizens

Showtime has presented the first look for its upcoming hour-long drama series The Chi, created and executive produced by Lena Waithe (Master of None), and Chi-town-based MC Common. The show boasts an impressive ensemble of actors like Jason Mitchell (Straight Outta Compton,) Jacob Latimore, Tiffany Boone and is helmed by Dope director Rick Famuyiwa.
Set in the South Side of Chicago, The Chi looks to explore the humanity behind the violent headlines instead of sensationalizing the negativity the Windy City has garnered over the past few years.
