T-Pain Sues Cash Money Over ‘Tha Carter III’ Royalties
“Got Money”?

T-Pain has reportedly filed a lawsuit against Cash Money Records over unpaid royalties from his contribution on Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter III album. According to TMZ, T-Pain’s Nappy Boy Entertainment allegedly filed a suit that claims the singer is owed over $500,000 USD for his work on the multi-platinum selling CD. The 2008 album sold more than 3.2 million copies in the U.S.
This isn’t the first time Cash Money was sued over Tha Carter III. Back in 2011, producer Play-N-Skillz sued the label for $1 million over unpaid royalties for the song “Got Money.” David Banner, who contributed to the tracks “La La” and “P*ssy Monster,” recently sued for $150,000 in unpaid royalties from Tha Carter III.
