Streetsnaps: Jeff Staple in Beijing
Riding the wave of his Nike SB Dunk Low success.
The latest edition of streetsnaps sees us capture Jeff Staple in Beijing. The designer is currently riding a wave from the success of his latest Nike SB “Pigeon” Dunk Low and when we saw him, he was outside the DEAL store in Beijing Gulou. Our sighting came just after it was announced that the shoe would be given a wider release.
The new Dunk Low was made to commemorate a coming together of anniversary – the 20th for Staple design and the 15th for Nike SB — while the shoe paid homage to the original 2005 shoe which famously caused riots. This time around we caught the queue in action – just as big but far less rowdy than the original launch.
