Honda Unveils the Sports Vision Gran Turismo Concept
Turns out the ZSX patent was just a video game car.
Polyphony Digital, the developer of the Gran Turismo franchise has teamed with the Japanese automaker to reveal the Honda Sports Vision Gran Turismo. The concept was specifically designed for Gran Turismo Sport, the franchise’s latest entry, but appeared as far back as 2015 in patent drawings under the trademark of “ZSX.” Earlier this year, another concept surfaced showing the interior which revived the speculation surrounding the so-called “ZSX.”
It’s a sharp, wedge-y looking sports car inspired by other works from the manufacturer. Its fictional stats include a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, producing 404 horsepower at 7,500 rpm. Power goes through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. It also doesn’t have much weight to carry around either — it’s factored to be at 1,982 lbs. And although no one expects to experience the car in person, it’s nice to know you can drive it, at least in a video game. Check out the visuals below and share your thoughts in the comments below.
