A Closer Look at the fragment design and Converse Jack Purcell Modern

fragment design and Converse have once again linked up on a set of reworked sneakers. After teasing the designs earlier this month, the shoe has now dropped on HBX.
After delivering two Converse All-Star collaborations this year — including one with Sacai — fragment has turned its attention to the Jack Purcell. Reshaping the Modern iteration of the shoe with a colorblocked midsole and stitched details, fragment designer Hiroshi Fujiwara offers a new take on the classic Purcell silhouette. Blue, black and white canvas colorways keep things simple, placing emphasis on the silhouette and design of the sneaker. A Phylon sole ensures maximum comfort, while subtle fragment design detailing on the midsole — as seen on every converse collaboration since the One Star — and heel offers slight visual interest.
The shoe is now available on HBX. This week, Jeff Staple unveiled an enviable 1-of-1 fragment design iteration of the new black “Pigeon” dunk.
