'A Prayer Before Dawn' Marks A24's Latest Intense Offering
“I’ve got no family. No money. Just give me this one chance.”
A24 adds another soon-to-be hit film to its roster, this time centering around the the intense, based on a true story A Prayer Before Dawn. The true to tale story follows a young English boxer named Billy Moore who is arrested in Thailand and sent to two of its most notorious prisons. Submerged in a world of drugs and gang violence, Billy gets his opportunity to make something of his life in prison by taking part in Muay Thai boxing tournaments, which may just be his only way out of prison.
Directed by Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire, A Prayer Before Dawn — which made its premier at this year’s Cannes Film Festival — stars Joe Cole, Vithaya Pansringarm, and Panya Yimmumphai. Look for it to hit theaters in 2018.
In other entertainment news, House of Cards Season 6 will be its last.
