Trill Sammy & Maxo Kream Collide For "Harden" Video
Produced by 808 Mafia.
When it comes to the new-school crop of up-and-comers vying for a shot at hip-hop’s upper echelon, the more divided the movement, the better the chances of success for all — there really is “strength in numbers.” Case in point: Texas’ burgeoning, talent-filled current scene. Following a string of solo releases and collaborative efforts from both artists, Trill Sammy and Maxo Kream collide for the new “Harden” single and video.
Playing to Trill Sammy’s strength, this song is a seamless mix of melodies and sing-rapping. For Maxo Kream, the cutthroat shooter steps outside of his usual drugs-guns-and-death comfort zone, eschewing his hitman raps for something a little less threatening and more celebratory — of course, you can still expect to hear some lines about his favorite party-starting substances. Tying everything together, 808 Mafia supplies the beat for the sonic force fueling today’s GoodboyShady-directed visual. “Harden” doesn’t offer that much outside the norm of contemporary rap, but it’s a fitting, catchy addition to anyone’s turn-up playlist.

Last month, Maxo Kream once again experimented with new styles for a collaborative cut alongside Lil Uzi Vert.
