Vivienne Westwood didn’t shy away from proving that she still has the design chops to put forth a well-structured, yet still inspiring collection. For 2017 fall/winter, the veteran creative cast a wide spectrum of pieces to showcase her proven talents in construction — there are colorful patchwork knits, soft tailoring that gave off a retro vibe, large capes, and robust outerwear to channel military uniforms.

Obvious standouts are the colorful sweaters with its mixed patterns and multi-gauged knits, but the draped suiting could be a cool contender against the traditional tailoring we’re seeing from other brands.
