Philadelphia-based boutique UBIQ has joined forces with Diadora to pay respect to one of the city’s most popular culinary items. The N.9000 silhouette has been chosen as the collaborative canvas and will be dubbed the “Wiz Wit.” Throughout the model you’ll find premium materials such as leather and suede which are tailored to mirror the base of a cheesesteak. As a subtle detail, you’ll find its lateral and medial branding done in a premium American Cheese-like yellow leather. Its insole adds a creative bonus via a cheesesteak paper wrap inspiration that states “The World Over EST. 2002 Family Owned & Operated Since 2002.” Four additional lacing options make their way into the fold with two sets of two-toned laces as well as whiz-yellow and ketchup-red options too.
The UBIQ x Diadora N.9000 “Wiz Wit” will officially launch on January 28 at UBIQ’s Philadelphia and Georgetown locations. In celebration, each shop will house custom cheesesteak displays where customers can purchase their collaborative pairs in the same manner that they’d buy their favorite style of cheesesteak. A one-of-a-kind Philly experience will be provided as specially designed T-shirts will be available along with custom packaging for all purchases.
