'The New York Times' Reveals Its Top Destinations for 2017

Expect safaris, sand dunes and sleek ski runs.

Helping to alleviate the winter blues, The New York Times has published a 52-strong list of top travel destinations for the year ahead. Elsewhere, factors including vibrant food scenes (Tijuana), nighttime balloon rides across stunning landscapes (Atacama Desert), and the arrival of cutting-edge artistic venues (Hamburg) helped propel destinations to the top end of the list.
