Introducing Strike, the World's First Smart Baseball
Capable of tracking trajectory, speed, strike-zone location, rotation axis, and spin rate of each pitch.
Taiwanese sports tech company Jingle LLC introduces the world’s first smart baseball, appropriately named “Strike.” Instead of using the same heavy and expensive equipment that has been employed for decades now, Strike is capable of recording trajectory, speed, strike-zone location, rotation axis, and spin rate of each pitch, then instantly sending the information to a paired mobile device, with the data viewable in a 3D-simulated app. The ball itself matches the exact specifications of a Major League baseball, right down to the size, weight and material.
A perfect tool for pitchers of all ages, from little league to the professional level, Strike has recently reached its Kickstarter goal and will likely hit the market later this summer. If you’re interested in getting one for yourself or a friend, and have $99 USD to spare, there’s still eight days left on the campaign.
