Ducati and Diesel Team Up For Limited Edition Diavel
Post-apocalyptic meets retro-futuristic.
Ducati and Diesel have teamed up for an Italian special — a limited edition Ducati Diavel Diesel. Merging inspirational elements from the past and future, the “hyper-kinetic dynamism” combines a post-apocalyptic world with a retro-futuristic one. This is conveyed with textured details throughout including a hand-brushed stainless steel body with visible welding and real leather seat. Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali said that, “The details characterizing the Diavel Diesel cannot fail to captivate connoisseurs of special bikes but also people from different walks of life, such as fashion. It’s always stimulating for us to move outside the world of motorcycling and widen our brand’s areas of interest.”
With just 666 models coming off the production line, this iteration of the Diavel boasts a 162 horsepower Testastretta DS engine combined with the Ducati Safety Pack (ABS and Ducati Traction Control). Special features include black lateral anodized air intakes with visible welding, red lateral air intake covers with the Diesel logo on the inside, a red LCD dash, black Zircotec ceramic coated exhaust pipes, matte black front mudguard, red Brembo front brake calipers and a numbered “NEVER LOOK BACK” plate.
Sales for the collab will start in April but the bike will be on display January 20-22 at the Motor Bike Expo in Verona, Italy. For now, check out the gallery above and let us know what you think.
